Third and Rialto Beaches… but Where da Vampires at for Real?

Due to Covid restrictions the entire La Push beach region was closed: Boo! We were truly hoping to see the likes of Edward Cullen from the Twilight Series flying around through the trees but no vampires in sight. Alas, when traveling always expect the unexpected. So we changed gears and headed to Third and Rialto Beaches. Both are absolutely wild and stunning beaches with tons to explore.

The hike to Third Beach was more of a gorgeous nature walk through a heavily wooded and lush green landscape. We could hear the power of the ocean way before our eyes caught glimpse of her wild beauty. This beach is wild and unspoiled. A Driftwood graveyard of sorts. The primitive sirens sit up top pinnacles reaching towards the sky and as the fog rolls in they sing their sweet song. I shiver. I can feel the power. The salt in the air sticks to my skin and I feel so alive. We were blown away by the sheer vastness and beauty of this oceanic playground.

Rialto Beach- As we scrambled over driftwood barriers, ancient rocks and ocean debris we were awarded an awesome view. Similar to Third Beach , Rialto Beach hosts a variety of driftwood bones. Guided by the sounds of gulls we explored in peace for hours. The sun lazily started to shine and warm our faces. Absolutely exquisite.
