I will never get sick of looking at waterfalls. I mean, how could you?
Melting glacier water meandering down through ancient gullies, spilling its heart out for a Shakespearean show. All for our delight.
Sol Duc Falls is a beloved hike in the Olympic National Park. We decided that this was a must see before we left the Lake Crescent area and headed early to beat the crowds.
Due to is accessibly and relatively easy level of hiking, this family friendly trail is one of the most highly trafficked areas of the park, however you wouldn’t be able to tell. It is meticulously clean and abundant with wildlife. We wandered along towering trees and quietly marveled at the beauty of our surroundings. Moss covered stones sprinkled the crystal clear spring water. As we got closer, Sol Duc Falls announced herself with a roar, long before she came into view.
Photography has been an interest of mine since the long ago years of high-school. My uber cool, super-hippy photography teacher inspired me to find the beauty in even the smallest of things and I have been yearning for a proper camera for some time now. I recently purchased Canon T7 Rebel DSLR Camera and have been learning how to use it. I have always obsessed at the photos taken of waterfalls where the water takes on mystic proportions. My goal was to capture a shot like that. It took a ridiculous amount of patience that I certainly do not I have. And that, combined with playing with the aperture, ISO, etc…I finally got the shot I was hoping for! Great little hike, definitely glad we decided to go! A must see do you are in the area.
